Hacking for beginners

Hello Friends, I am Sagar Dolui. I am writing a blog for the first time. After thinking I came up with the idea of writing about Ethical Hacking for the absolute beginners. 

So, in case of hacking what is the necessary equipment!

1.Computer

2.Operating System

Some may be thinking why I mentioned the Operating System, as without any OS a computer would be absolutely useless.

You can use any Linux OS for hacking purpose. such as, Ubuntu, Fedora, Kali Linux etc.

Let me tell you that kali Linux which is a Linux distribution is specially made for Penetration testing means Hacking. Kali Linux is advance version of Backtrack (also a Linux distro).

Now we know what OS we have to use after that we are going to learn about Installation process of Kali Linux. There is two ways to install Kali.

1.Dual booting (those who want to work with Kali at a time)

2.VirtualBox (those who want to work with windows and kali simultaneously)

Dual Booting-

Now we are going to learn about how to do dual booting Kali Linux alongside Windows 7/8

  ü First you need an USB Flash Drive (at least 4GB Capacity)

  ü if you have one than Download Kali ISO image here.

  ü After download the image you have boot it to the USB Flash Drive using Rufus (Download it here)

  ü Install Rufus and you will get further information there about booting an Image

  ü After you’ve done booting Shrink your windows partition and make a new Drive (20 GB) where you can install Kali.

  ü After done all that Restart your Computer and choose BIOS menu by pressing F2 or F12

  ü Choose boot from [Your Flash Drive name will show in the BIOS]

  ü Click Enter and Kali will load here you have to choose “Install with Graphics”

  ü On the middle of the installation you will be asked to select Partition here you have to select the Newly made drive by you.

  ü Follow the on screen instructions from here

  ü At last you will get asked to install “GRUB boot Loader” here you have to Click YES

  ü After Successful installation of GRUB Boot loader Kali will open

  ü Restart Your PC and you’ll notice GRUB menu from here you can choose to load Windows or Kali.

VirtualBox Installation-

VirtualBox Installation is very easy. You can download Kali image or you can download VirtualBox Image of Kali.

Download VirtualBox Image of Kali would Require almost 10 GB of Internet Data. but you don’t have to set up anything when installing.

Download Kali Image would require 4 GB of Internet Data. You have to follow some instruction to set up VirtualBox and Install Kali on it.
